All in one billing + simple support?
Hello to all,
I'm in the process of finishing up offerings and the site for a new company I'm launching next year.
I've done some research on WHT and I found one of the biggest gripes people have is needing to go to one place for support, another for billing, then having multiple logins for other things such as remote reboot or other features.
I don't want to annoy my customers to be, so I hope to find a solution that offers simple billing / products / options as well as a basic support system. Source availability after purchase would be great, or something open source.
I need to tie this in with my Xen VPS offerings to give folks remote console / reboot / management for their VM's, as well as our APC system so dedicated server customers can also have a central place to get stuff done.
My goal is one login lets clients manage billing, order upgrades or services, access support and reboot. I'd also like to tie in their mrtg and even Munin graphs from their servers with a plugin I wrote .. so you see the need for source availability.
At the same time, my goal is to launch a small DC, not write a portal
Can anyone point me in the direction of something that I could use as a building block, or something with source availability I could purchase?
Many thanks in advance. I've spent about 40 frustrating hours on hotscripts and similar sites trying to find a good starting point with little success. The closest I can come (believe it or not) is WHMSubs.
Best,
-Tim

WHMCS is an ideal billing system as it has all the features built into it including a support centre which can also be intergrated into stardevelop livehelp which is a great program also

WHMCS is the best out there for what you need though. It's easy to setup and use, VERY easily supported, incredibly easy to manipulate to do what you want (customize, etc), and all around a great product.Tom Whiting, WHMCS Guru extraordinaire

You may want to look at Ubersmith here. It's more expensive but it does provide everything you listed (including remote reboot I believe in the new DE version).

Both Clientexec and WHMCS are good, but the support from WHMCS is outstanding.
