    90% here.

    ah, that's terrible.

  4. #4
90% here also. I'm not sure which is more pathetic - my score, or the fact that my score is probably way higher than average

Hmmm "Your Language Arts Grade: 98%". /me wonders if the last answer should have been "is this part of the quiz"

98%, pretty good considering you're all older than me, and I grew up when english teachers couldn't speak english.

P.S. That question with a lot of punctuation was confusing. I still don't know what it means.

I'm fairly certain it was the punctuation for me that lowered it. Would have been nice to see what I had wrong.

Way to go! You know not to trust the MS Grammar Check and you know "no" from "know." Now, go forth and spread the good word (or at least, the proper use of apostrophes).

Despite my score of "100%", I can't say I'm very impressed. The questions asked were about basic grammar skills that people should know by the end of lower-secondary school. You don't even need A-Level English or a degree in English to be able to get 100%.

Dropping standards, or just plain laziness?

    100%!!

I also agree with Acsiak - Andrew -- proper grammar is declining in use. Sometimes it seems like those who write and speak properly are a dying breed.

English is supposed to be my second language, I went to french schools all my life here in Montreal and I can guarantee you I'd be lucky to get 75% in French.

100% too. They should have thrown in a few questions about the usage of the word irony. People use that in place of "coincidental" all the time!

The 2 commas were just there to seperate the punctuation, they weren't actually part of the answer.
