Unhappy

Related offers & requests post problem

By only allowing each user to start one post in the Related Offers and Requests forum, you prevent us from both replying to offers as well as making requests within a five day period.

For example, on day one, I make a post offering Widgets for sale in that forum. On day three, it turns out I now need Gadgets. I'm not allowed to post my request for Gadgets because it hasn't been five days since my offer for Widgets.

Make sense? There's got to be a better way to enforce the limit of offers.

Unfortunately people can't be trusted to do the right thing on their own. Its a shame strict rules like this need to be put in place because some abuse the system!

I'll give it some thought... thanks for the reply Chicken

edit Just thought of something... how about splitting the Offers/Requests into two forums. Limit posts in the Offers forum to 1 every 5 days, and don't allow replies (but no limit) in the Requests forum.
