I think it is server overload. It has a 1gbit connection and going
about 90Mbps on avg. Is 1GB of ram too little? This is what
top prints out:
Mem: 970408k total, 964980k used, 5428k free, 2816k buffers
Swap: 1966072k total, 160k used, 1965912k free, 845224k cached
I just ordered
a upgrade from recommendation by support, hope that fixes it.
Get everything ready, including sliding the server part way out the rack (as long as your cables are done properly there's no problem and get the lid off. Log in, power it down, pop the memory in, power it up, stick the lid back on, slide it back in, job done.
sounds alot like a VPS to me. 5 mins for a dedi upgrade! wow.
on a file server without a db, html, or php it has to be disk i/o (backup job?) or RAID rebuild. Don't you love those 250gb RAID5 rebuilds!
try this.... your.ip:4643 and see if you get a VZPP login. That's a sure sign isn't it!
The mem upgrade could be done in a few minutes, if the stars all align properly. on a light file server build without alot of services it could re-boot pretty fast!
