    Uses for a new server??

    Hi.

I've got one dedicated server, with maybe 15 or 20 accounts.

I've just ordered a second server in a different datacenter, from a different company .. I don't *need* this new server, but it was a bargain (from a reputable company).

So, any ideas or pointers towards how I can use this new one in conjunction with the existing one - maybe to provide redundancy, DNS etc?

    TIA for any suggestions.

    Dave.

You can use as a secondary DNS, maybe separate out the services such that the web is hosted at one server, the email is hosted at the other.

Backup e-mail server, backup dns server, offsite backup...
If both have some type of control panel, maybe you can set it up to sync the data from the primary server, so you can easily switch to the backup if you have serious problems with the primary server.

If you got a really great deal on it, you could always resell it to help pay for the other. A little outside the box but could still help.
