It depends on what you really want. If managing is something you seriously think about, then managing 1 server is much better than 2 (less headache). But if redundancy is what you're thinking, then 2 servers are much better because if anything happens to 1 server, you still have the other one up. If you're thinking of raw power and resource, then 2 P4 is pretty much junk compare to Dual Core Dual Xeon Processor 5130 (4 x 2.0 Ghz cores). If you're comparing the new Pentium D (dual core P4) to the Woodcrest, then the comparison's much closer, but I would still go with the Woodcrest server.
