    Wow that is amazing just shows you what our ancestors could do. Not a bad looking damn either if you ask me hopefully it will make the small village flourish again.

    The article fails to make it clear that the Hittites, builders of the dam, are not related to the Turks whose ancestors came from Mongolia in the 9th century AD, or about 2,000 years later and did not occupy Asia Minor until after another 400 years.

    It is ironic that in one part of the world a 3000 year dam is safe to be used whereas in another part of the world
