Commit1 - Very Pleasant Experience

Hey,
I've been reading some of the terrible reviews about Commit1 here. I don't know how much of it is true and how much is false, but here is my own review.

A while ago I was told by my old server admin that I had to get off his server because it was going to be shut down. Anthony from Commit1 contacted me a while back when I was starting to look at providers. Note that this was several months ago.

Several offers were passed by me. Commit1 always seems to have some good deals. Unfortuneatly, I didn't take advantage of some of these but I feel the offer I lately secured is a good deal.

I got a Pentium 4 3.0 GHz w/ HyperThreading, 1 gig RAM, 80 gig disk and 1.5 Terabytes of bandwidth for $140 a month. Again, I was told that it would be ready in 24/48 hours but it wasn't. This is Commit1's only weak point to be honest. That's my only complaint. But other than the wait, my buying experience was great!

After I got my server, I had a few problems but this was to be expected. I haven't been in the hosting business long and the last server was shared with a buddy who set it up. Commit1 actually got to my support ticket within a few hours, not the next day or any longer like it has been said in previous reviews. I have submitted 1 ticket the last three days with issues. Commit1 has promptly replied.

Most of my "problems" with them were my fault because I'm new to this business, but they're dealing with me quite well, lol.

Anyways, I highly suggest that anyone who is looking for a dedicated server to check out Commit1. I don't know why others have had a rough experience, but mine has been wonderful.

Two thumbs up for Commit1! I rate them a 9.5/10

-Travis

I guess he got success from his tactics, I should review and learn from this.

I won't bother replying to any more of your negative comments, messanger was created for a reason, public display of instant messanger contacts were created for a purpose, therefor if you rather not be contacted, why not remove them?

Cheers.

mtech,

Thank you for your positive review on our company. It is very pleasing to see clients post good reviews on their hosting companies at times. We strive in keeping all of our clients happy, and sometimes it is just not possible as each individual has different expectations. We are looking forward to doing long-term business with you and I have enjoyed working closely with you to have your problems resolved promptly.

Thank you

Whether they're readily accessible or not is not the issue. The issue is that it is against the rules to use them to spam members.

I think you should consider to be very lucky, I have asked for 1 GB upgrade and Promised a remote backup solutions but I have no remote backup solutions and RAM has not been upgraded since last 12 days.

I always get very odd response and some unthinkable answers.

However, network etc is all fine now. Only issue I am having is the way they are neglecting my pending issues i.e upgrade + backup solutions.

If you SPAM our members in any manner, your account will be disabled. Do not contact anyone to suggest your product or service who is not explicitly expecting you to contact them. If you gleaned information from anywhere other than the advertising forums and use that to contact someone and present an offer, it's SPAM.

Don't worry. When I was contacted, I was actually expecting anyone to suggest companies. I wasn't actually presented an offer until I showed intrest in actually being a client.

Commit1 is a great company. All companies have some sort of faults. I was never "spammed" if others are claiming they were.

@nocebo: I don't know if I am allowed to post the URL. I'll post it anyways but if a mod feels like it's advertising, I'm sorry and please remove. My URL is: http://www.225mb.com

That may be true with you, but I know others have been contacted with offers (and I have in the past as well), by Commit1, which IS against the rules.

I just thought it's real funny, a bad review comes out, then all of a sudden a good one comes out. Great timing.

My old server just got switched off today. WHOIS records just need to update. Do an NSLOOKUP and you'll see my new IP is 66.7.196.56.

@CEngine: I just thought I'd put my two cents out since everyone seems to be attacking Commit1 lately. OK, I'll admit maybe they should go easy on the IM marketing strategy and do what they did for me. Just send a PM with no offers and just ask to reply back with a screen name if interested. I think that would follow the rules, right?
