What's the point of dedicated ip if using shared nameserver?
What's the point of dedicated ip if using shared nameserver?
Lets say im using a dedicated ip address for one of my sites and using shared nameservers. If they shared nameserver is banned from a network will the website still work? Meaning they banned the nameserver only not the dedicated ip.

You may require a dedicated ip if you want to use a SSL certificate, or would you want everybody on the shared server to be able to use your cc processor ;-)

It also allows more security in general compared to being on the same IP address as say, 200 other accounts.
