ValueWeb vs Galaxy Visions
I have been looking for a low-end dedicated server solution.
ValueWeb plan for $59/mo and Galaxy Visions $79/mo are current candidates
The hardware and bandwidth meet my demand in both cases. Galaxy Visions seem to offer more on the support side and this is the quesion of my post. Does their Silver Plan really worth paying extra $20?
I have done in-home server administration before so issues like patches and upgrades is not a problem. What else am I missing? Anyone with experience?
The Silver Plan includes following (in addition to 24 hour over the phone contact which Value Web also has):
1. Network Setup and Troubleshooting
2. Server Hardware procurement and deployment
3. Operating System Installation and Testing
4. Server Monitoring (Ping, Power and Pipe)

I never used Value Web, but I have used Galaxy Visions, and they are possibily the worst dedicated hosting company ever.
Bad support, and takes them for ever to refund the money.

I Recommend: LimeStone Networks!
The OverSeller Defender
Strange, I was under a different impression after reading the feedback at HostSearch (remove spaces from URL)

I currently use Site5 and are (was) very happy but shared hosting no longer works for me. The main problem is the provider kills my cron jobs at a timeout of 60 seconds.
