[Whats your] Favorite Classic Video Game
I was having a chat with one of my friends about video games today vs. classic video games. He mentioned that the differences between the Nintendo Wii and the PS3 & Xbox 360 really make him want to invest in a Wii rather than the higher-end models.. I thought it was an interested concept ..... ie....... Playability (Wii) favored vs. High-End Graphics and sound (PS3 & XBOX360).
So... here's my question for all of you... I just dusted off my old NES (and spent a few minutes blowing out the cartridges! ) What's your favorite **classic** platform game?
I can't choose just one.. So I'm gonna throw a few out there:
Super Mario World (SNES)
BattleToads (NES)
Metroid (NES)
All the Mega Mans for NES

I gotta go with zelda. One of the few games that probably won't rot your brain and encourages strategic thinking and puzzle solving with a dash of combat.

Shinobi, Sonic 3..
Then there is this other game with four people that fight, fly and do all sort of tricks, which I forgot its name, that is why I can't play it . I remember in the end you have to fight this large guy in the space.
Sega Gensis that is.
Peace,

I always thought that below the root was a pretty interesting game, though I didn't understand what you were actually supposed to do ^_^.
For more recent (far more recent), Total Annihilation, primarily because it was the first (and only?) real time strategy game, where things were not cut and dry, you could use units in completely unintended manners effectively to the surprise of all players involved.
