weird DNS error
Hi all,
I have this website hosted on a dedicated server, running DirectADmin, and I get this DNS error output: http://dnsreport.com/tools/dnsreport...rverupload.net
Can you help me solves this? The website does resolve ok, but it is weird that I get this error.
Also: I want to mention the domain is registered through 1and1.com
Please help me, thanks!

It looks like named isn't up and/or not listening properly. How do you figure that the site resolves properly? I get an error at home and so does dnsstuff.

Check if it's running -> ps aux|grep named
Check that it's listening -> netstat -an|grep 53
If not, then either start it or fix your config file.

to check if it's running just do this in sbin
service named status
if it shoes 'stopped' then type;
service named start
or if it shows running but doesn't respond:
service named restartShow your reciprocal links on your website. eReferrer

errm, not a wise idea on a forum buddy. I would suggest contacting your dedicated provider to solve the issue.

yeah, I tried that. This is how my DA DNS page looks like:
Name Type Value Select
ftp A 38.100.22.124
localhost A 127.0.0.1
mail A 38.100.22.124
ns1.serverupload.net. A 38.100.22.125
ns2.serverupload.net. A 38.100.22.126
pop A 38.100.22.124
serverupload.net. A 38.100.22.124
www A 38.100.22.124
serverupload.net. NS ns1.serverupload.net.
serverupload.net. NS ns2.serverupload.net.
mail MX 10
124.22.100.38.in-addr.arpa PTR www.serverupload.net.
serverupload.net. TXT "v=spf1 a mx ip4:38.100.22.124 ?all"
Now, what can be wrong here, since the dnstuff.com NS check is not responding???

Seems like your DNS daemon is down, do you tried restarting it?
