    Pointing Domains

Hi all.....working on a site for a mate, and he has bought varying domains to increase hits for his site.

What would be the best way to attach these to the site, add on domain? forwarder? or should i make a sub directory with the same site in and point to that.

    Hmmmm

I think either way would be just fine. Just please be informed that you'll get some negative points from search engines if all domains will have the same content.

the best way to do this ( and to overcome this negativity) is to 301 redirect the new domains to the old domain.

I do not think google will spider a search engine that does a normal redirect

301 redirect is a permanent redirect. It's telling the spiders the domain has permanently moved to the new location. It'll spider the (in this case) old domain.
