    CSS <div> positioning problems!

    Could somebody help me and point me in the direction of how to work with <div>s using CSS how to layer <div>s on top of each other etc. I have a script currently setup that uses <div>s for the navigation but one <div> goes in the correct place but messes up part of the page.

    If you think you could help could you PM me/MSN me: [email protected] would be much appreciated. I don't want to post a link because the work is private.

    You need to specify z-index. z-index controls what goes under or on top. So for example, if you had 3 divs:

    HTML Code:
    <div id="first">&nbsp;</div>
    <div id="second">&nbsp;</div>
    <div id="third">&nbsp;</div>
    and you wanted third to be on top of other 2 (assuming you positioned them):

    div#first { z-index: 1;}
    div#second { z-index: 2;}
    div#third { z-index: 10 }

    It's really hard to help you if you don't show your html structure. Your site might be working in quirks-mode (google it, will save us from typing)..
