Want an expiring domain
Hello
i want backorder an expiring domain
the domain is registered by networxhosting a reseller of tucows
does tucows have an aftermarket? can i enter into an auction some where?
or should i just try and backorder it anywhere?
Im asuming Renewal-Date: means expiring date because their is no expring date listed in the whois.
thanks

www.tucowsauctions.com will redirect you to their auction service.

Why?
1) Never get your domain registration from your web host.

I get asked this a lot Maybe i should just put it up in the tutorials section
Well, the short answer is if you get into any kind of dispute with your webhost, they can lock you out from your domains. If your registrar is separate from your webhost and you get into dispute with your webhost, you can just sign-up with another webhost and point your domains to the new webhost with little downtime. It's insurance. Well worth a couple of bucks a year for peace of mind. We see quite a lot of these situations where the webhost won't allow you to transfer your domain until all bills are paid, and even then can make things quite difficult.Last edited by stub; 11-24-2006 at 11:54 PM.

Tucows auctions sucks. They make you wait 60 days after you've won the auction to have any access to the domain. But if you must have the domain, then..... wait you must do.
