I am a suffering user of mediatemple's new gridserver. I dont think I have to explain what kind of problems we are having.
The thing is that I purchased a 1 year grid server plan and as you may already know there have been unlimited issues with it. Since I have used it for more than 30 days there may be issues with the money back guarantee.
I am totally dissapointed so i want a full refund or at least that they dont charge for this months if I continue using the service. They are just using as as beta testers who pay.
I mean, this is ridiculous, they are charging us money for something that is far from ready. On the front page they still advertise although they are very aware that it is not working properly. Is this legal?
Moving to another host means time so that means money. I am deeply dissapointed with mediatemple grid server.
I want to know what are others plans.
Stay for the unknown? or
move to another host and pay for the wasted time?
Tough to say where it's all going and where MT is going to end up. I'm in a similar boat, but I've been a customer for over 6 years and I'm not bound to any contract, so I can leave at will. However, on the same token, it's a huge pain in the *** to do that. No just in the sense of moving all the files/databases/etc, setting it all up and making sure it runs correctly, but also having to research hosting companies and find one that will actually be worth switching too. Right now I'm in holding pattern, waiting to see how things go for at least a couple more weeks, while at the same time researching other hosting companies just in case. It's a shame really, as I've said I've been with MediaTemple for 6 years and I've really enjoyed their service and support. But it's getting to the point now where I'm just angry. If I had known the service wasn't stable (as they advertise it is) I would have stayed on my SharedServer instead of moving over to the grid.
What will take you more time? to have your site working in another server or the time that you already wait at MT to have your site working properly?
If I were you, I would move from there on the first week with problems.
