    phpManager vs. WHNBilling

I'm getting a little tired of all the work that it takes to create clients' accounts (which involves copy/pasting their contact info into an ACT!2000 database and then setting up the acount in WHM) so I'm looking into automated billing systems -- the two I'm looking at right now are phpManager (http://www.phpmanager.com/) and WHNBilling (http://www.webhostingbilling.com/)

... have any of you out there used either, or even better, both? Which is better?

Also, I'm a little worried about security. I don't exactly like the idea of having all of my users' data in an online MySQL database... what kind of security measures are taken with each script?

    Thanks!

    Jay.. I definately recommend webhostinbilling.com

The ease, security and features are amazing!! We have it implemented on one of our hosting sites and haven't had any problems since!

If you're worried about security, i think you'll be glad to hear that WebHostBilling uses RC4 encryption with a 32 bit key for security...

The WHB system has saved us so much time... I think its the only professional billing solution on the market that supports automated account creation and integration with WHM/CPANEL.
    I have servers at: NetDepot/GNAX (A), SoftLayer (A), LiquidWeb (B+), DedicatedNow (B+), Nectartech (B) and more!

Do you know if WHNBilling supports integration with 2checkout.com like phpManager does?

Yeah, that is why I'm leaning towards phpManager at this point...

I have no experience of WHNBilling but I use phpManager and it's brilliant! Saves a lot of time, I thoroughly recommend it.

Also, it does support automatic account creation with WHM/Cpanel although I don't use this feature.

    If they support authorize.net

Then they also support 2checkout.com which uses authorize.net as it's gateway. May take a little bit of effort to set up, but it will work from my experience.

In my opinion Modern Bill is definately not better then WHNBilling. I tried Modern Bill and decided it wasn't for me. I use WHNBilling now and couldn't be happier.
