transporting a 40 on a mountain bike without a backpack or a jacket is very difficult

I bought my first 40 this afternoon. It's called "Magnum 40", i got it for two dollars at the local party store.

i had to hold this thing in my hand for two miles, and now my hand is pretty numb.

oh well, tonight shall be fun, and I will try to get outside to pour a little on the ground for my fallen hommies.

that's all from my camp. Tell me your stories of having forties.

About 1.2 Litres or 2 Pints for the rest of the world I just hope it's strong stuff cos it will be a disappointing night if you only have one bottle!

40 ounces of alcohol for $2? I think you're gonna need something for your headache.
    Spirits or beer?

Beer? In that case 2 pints is nothing. It won't break the seal or summon the ugly bus.

It's no longer available, but IMHO, the best 40 was Phat Boy. Looking at reviews other people have posted, it is definitely not a crowd favorite, but I used to LOVE it

White Mountain was my favorite flavored 40 oz. malt beverage. A citrus White Mountain and a shorty of Seagrims G&J (grapefruit) was my favorite drive-through order back in the day.

Back in the day my beer of choice was "une cinquante", in a stubby of course, and back when beer commercials didn't have any women in them.

I switch to the 22 oz, Bud Ice.

40 is too much... I can't drink that fast and the beer gets hot. I used to drink them though...

When I first glanced at this thread, I thought you were talking about a gun... I was confused until the $2 remark.

Oh, Give me a break. It's not like I posted this in the technical and security forum.

This kind of posting is perfectly acceptable in the lounge. What would you rather see, another dry-humor news article, or a story of someone's personal struggle of obtaining their first 40?

Also, I do plan on continuing to ride my bicycle on every nice day when I am rich.

No, its just something I'd expect to see posted on a local high school forum, not WHT.

Welcome to the Lounge, Not the wannabe millionaires club. And TBH, I would rather see a 21 y/o post this here then to see a high school kid post it in a high school forum (monkey see monkey do). Them kids are getting more and more screwed up everyday with the shootings and all.

Think this is bad, you should see some of the stuff in the social forums

I don't see the big deal.... ub3r has some funny posts, sometimes.... I kinda enjoy reading about his bike adventures... kinda funny.

WHT soap opera! "UB3R and his BIKE." Think we will make a movie out of it... we will all play ourselves.

I have not drank a 40 in probably 7 years but my favorites in order used to be

    1: Old English
    2: Mickeys
    3: St Ides

A 40 is malt liquor around 8% alcohol and is a favorite drink for hobos and college students here in the states.

And I agree with okihost that Old E is the way to go.

I have heard the term "40" the first time and I think its o.k to transport it on the bike (as long as the filled in alcohol is drunk at home).

Its also better for you and your environment and increases your chances to stay healthy the next years to come (if drank at home that is) ;-)

I never drink malt liquer tried it once, and YUCK!

But if I buy a 40, its usually bud, or MAYBE icehouse. But if I get icehouse, its usually 2 or 3 22's, which you can usually get for $.99

Well, since Kuwait is a dry country (both in alchohol and the rain factor) we don't get to spill some fo'ty for our homies in cell block 6....

To compensate, however, we have N/A Bud (Non-Alcoholic Bud). Take the (nasty) taste of Bud, and remove the buzz factor -- tried to drink it once; never again.

We have a drink called the Barbican, which looks like a beer bottle, comes in different flavors (its a malt beverage) and with a twist off cap. The apple and lemon flavors are really good. Locals enjoy them with their favorite sheesha (hookah).

I've heard that one before. The punch line is:
