Well, this isn't nessecarily a "disaster" but the Cranberry Salad came out digusting - I only had one bite that scraped that stuff off my plate. Oh well... it the first try at it. Perhaps it'll turn out better at Christmas!
We were supposed to have a big turn out but it just didn't happen this year. Some out of town friends decided to stay home for the holidays due to family problems. Another family member decided to hang out with his GF instead...etc.
So we ended up having way too much food. That is not really a problem though is it? I love leftovers.
We had a disaster last year, of sorts. Several days after Thanksgiving I started smelling this awful odor coming from the kitchen, but I couldn't quite track it down. I swear I thought a mouse had died under the fridge or something, it was so bad. I finally found out what it was when I went to use the oven again. I had totally forgotten to serve the green bean casserole. It had molded and rotted into this stinky, fuzzy, nasty goo.

Visa decided to change a parameter in their database Wednesday night and when they informed the platforms, Visa told them the incorrect parameter. So for about 10 hours on Thanksgiving, the roommate was in their working with Visa, and the Nashville platform team to figure out exactly what parameter was changed.
No one wanted to take responsibility until about 3p when Visa found the correct parameter that had to be pushed to the platforms.
Being a little high on morphine and without even a slight improvement in pain, I stayed home with a bologna sandwich.
When my wife returned from a nice dinner with the extended family she made a comment about all the single people on the road and feeling sorry for them. I had to remind her how lucky I was to have had oscar mayer to spend my day with.
