It depends on what you're backing up and how. cPanel can automate backups fairly easily.

I am thinking the same thing too. I am really not sure about that but I supposed it is possible using CRON and probably some scripts.

yes you can do it very easily, Login to WHM --> backup --> Configure Backup --> in Backup Type field select Remote Ftp Server (Accounts Only) then enter login information in next fields
Cpanel will automatically backup and transfer accounts for storage area on specified times

    I have the solution !!!

I have a VPS under cPanel, I make a daily backup of 1Gb and everything work fine !!

Best of all, I have all the backup's (last 12 months and last 30 days), all in line and without depending with a backup's compans,

Please PM and I can tell exactly you what I did (of course that will be free)

Maybe is not a good solution for larger daily backup's, but for me it's perfect !!

Sorry for my english, but my natural language is spanish !!

It is possible if you have a dedicated server with WHM access but it is however not possible if you just have a reseller's account or a virtual hosting account. There is a feature to backup to a FTP site but nothing to make it automated.

If you have a reseller account, you can use a script to make a complete FTP backup.

    That work great

What was their exact explanation? Does it have something to do with the legal aspect of doing business with you?

Check out Amazon's Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3).

Pricing is $0.15/GB/month for storage and $0.20/GB for bandwidth.

You can link to objects you store and use it for web storage or password protect it and keep it private

Webmail.us recently moved from RackSpace's internal backup network to Amazon S3

I am a little surprised to hear this. As far as I am aware, we have never refused to do business with any potential customers. There is a small list of countries that we are unable to do business with due to US export laws, but the UAE is not one of those. Could you please PM on this forum to discuss in more detail?

Some wouldn't believe this ...but I'm backing up my cpanel accounts (and I have a few) on dreamhost, when they had a limit of 20GB space I used about 14GB, now it's a little small cause I wrote some on DVDs
