Where is my php.ini?
ok, so i have a problem here... In php -i (or phpinfo()
Configuration File (php.ini) Path => /usr/local/php/lib
# ls /usr/local/php/lib/
# locate php.ini
I really cannot find this file on my system what so ever... :?
I have tried restarting apache (php is installed as a module in httpd), which didnt change anything, php is fully working though, and nothing out of the normal is to be found in the apache logs... I'm really stumped...
Try whereis php.ini
[ [email protected] ~]# whereis php.ini
php: /usr/local/bin/php /usr/local/lib/php.ini /usr/local/lib/php
If it isn't there you need to copy it over.
cp /usr/src/php-5.2.0/php.ini-dist /usr/local/php/lib/php.ini
No luck on whereis either... guess i'll just copy it over, what's the difference between dist and recommended tho? (i'm somewhat new to installing php, however i'm skilled at coding it lol
# php -i |grep php.ini
and whats the results?
It will probably show he has no php.ini file as he did not copy the file over after installation.

Do you see php.ini there?
