...yup, two topics regarding two companies in one day and neither of them is good...
Apparently, NAMESECURE.COM can do what they want without consideration...
Two of my domains purchased through them have missing or flat out wrong Administrative Contact listings and they have ignored all the requests I've sent them to help resolve the issue.
They do not have a phone number you can use to speak to a warm body and if you finally get one by scouring the web they'll forward you to an automated system that says that they can't answer the phone and you have to e-mail them.
When you e-mail them their system sends you a nice automated response and then nothing. Just to make sure there wasn't an error, I've sent three e-mails in as many days and now I'm not even getting the automated response.
Customer service is dead at NAMESECURE.COM. They just want your money. I'd rather see someone use IPOWERWEB.COM and if you've read my last thread you'd know how I feel about them.
That's weird, i used to use NameSecure.com before, they were really good (as far as it regards the domain registration) ... they would of have went this low ? Can you still login in your account where you have the domains?
I can still log into my account but I can't change the Administrative Contact information for either domain.
If I attempt to change it I won't be able to transfer the domains for another 60 days but that isn't the hold up.
Since there isn't an adminstrative contact listed for INTERSTATE76.COM and [email protected] is listed for FIREBASE.COM there's no way I can recieve the confirmation e-mail to validate the changes even if I wanted to.
I started this with them on the 16th. and have sent them my login information at least twice since, not to mention the other "please contact me" e-mails and have yet to hear a peep from anything other than their automated system.
I'm think I'm boned...and I don't think I started this in the right forum. (Sorry!)
Hey dsavage666, welcome to WHT! Sorry to hear of your troubles with the current domain provider you are using. However if they refuse to help you in fixing the issues, perhaps you want to give ICANN a call and they will help you.
It's not about if you have started in the wrong forum or in the right one, you haven't actually started yet i was just surprised about namesecure.com acting that way thats all.
As JVS said, if they still refuse to reply to your e-mail's you can report this to ICANN and get assisted by them in solving this issue, if they won't answer you, they sure will answer to ICANN.
Cheers and good luck, please keep us tunned about how all this will end up, i am really curious personally.
No worries, everything is fine...i can almost feel the stress you are into right now. Can't you still change NS of the domains you own (with namesecure.com ofcourse)? In meanwhile you could try and change hosting (since you are escaping from ipowerweb as i saw on the other thread) and slowly resolve the domain name issue then with ICANN.
One step at a time and everything will be solved, the tornado as it comes it has to go
...I'm fully impaled on the stake that is IPOWERWEB as well...
There wasn't a problem with my rediculous configuration with domain forwarding and shell accounts until October 30th., either and it all stems from IPOWERWEB being unable to reprocess a credit card and now I'm in the middle of it.
The truely tragic part about this is that two of my clients got caught up in the idiocy. One had his account cancelled a week before it was due to expire and the other had a domain set up so badly he cancelled the whole process and now that domain is in limbo.
...it's weeks like this that I regret ever turning the server in the closet off.
I understand you completely, and it is clear that you feel even worst because you have your clients involved into all this (by the way, have you solved the problem for your clients yet? Moved them to another host, or they are down too?)
Ok, work is calling now. I will try to follow up the thread but will be really slow.
I just fired off an e-mail to ICANN via the InterNIC website and also have their phone number on file so we'll see what pans out with them in the coming hours.
As far as my clients go they're both still down.
Fortunately PZALLC.COM was supposed to be the new holding site for their other four domains so they're in the same boat they were before the massacre. Unhappy but up...but still not properly removed from the IPOWERWEB servers.
ALL-AREA-REAL-ESTATE.COM is another story. It's just gone and IPOWERWEB isn't getting back to me. It's their main site, hosts all of the e-mail and has all the property listings on it. It should be a transfer in progress to their new space on SITE5.COM but all of the transfers we've triggered have failed to process.
...one site cancelled to fast, the other not fast enough...
My Intel APGX 450 quad-Pentium Pro server is looking better all the time...
