    redirect to a free site

    Friends,

I have registered my domain with godaddy.com.
Is there any site where i can redirect the naming server to the free hosting site.
I don't want to transfer my domain to that hosting company.

    for example.

if i type http://myname.blogpost.com then automatically it will change to www.myname.com

ofcourse this should be free. I will just enter the naming server of the blogspot.com.

    can anybody know about this?

    Thanks & Regards
    Sathyguy

You want myname.blogpost.com which is on there servers to redirect to www.myname.com but you still want www.myname.com to point to the content on myname.blogpost.com. Is this correct?

    mmm....
ok.... www.stm.com (this is the domain i have registered with godaddy)
now can you tell me any free hosting for me.
ok....assume the free hosting which i registered to host my site is stm.freehosting.com
now they have given their naming server address ns1.freehosting.com.
what i am going to do is? i will edit the naming server in godaddy.com's www.stm.com to ns1.freehosting.com

i hope nopw i have explained clearly.

GoDaddy offers two options. If the free hosting company offers domain hosting (which is rare) you will enter their nameservers in place of GoDaddy's parking nameservers currently in place for your domain. If the free host does not offer domain hosting, you can just forward the domain from your GoDaddy control panel.

By the way, stm.com is not your domain name. It belongs to STMicroelectronics. Why are you trying to say it is yours?

Well, you stated it as though it was fact, which can be confusing.

I don't know of any free hosting service that offers domain hosting. But there are sites such as http://www.50megs.com http://www.100webspace.com and http://www.50webs.com , among others. Your best bet is to visit http://www.freewht.com and post there, as WHT is not really about free hosting.

You need free hosting that allows you to host your own domain, not just use their subdomains.

freewebspace.net/forums is yet another place to ask for free hosting guidance.
