Rap Group Site- Review please


This site does use some profanity so please dont view other pages I only need advice on the design..this is more a site for friends they are trying to make it big so I'm helping them be spread with a website.

They are called Sidewayz Burnoutz btw, dont read the story then post there is mispellings there is only tempoary text while I work out all the bugs and work to making some pages "dynamic" I've been working on this CSS/Table-less design, my first.

Anysuggestions are welcome as its my first

Hi there,

I think the flashy red and the black don't really go together. It kinda hurts my eyes.
Maybe you could experiment a bit with other colors instead of the bright red?
Or blend some image/graphic into the big red square, some kind of semi-transparent background image, which would make it less plain.

Colours are bad, the "logo" is bad too. Plus it's too basic and not professional at all.
