    WHT back online ;-)

After what must have been 2-3 hours for the DB update. Seemed like an eternity ;-)

    anon-e-mouse,

there is still the error "XML error: mismatched tag at line 89" in the hostingcatalog.com section to the right.

Besides, right now www.hostingcatalog.com is also maintained ;-)

    Best regards

Everything should be back up now. WHT is running on completely new hardware and a new version of MySQL. The upgrade would have taken about 30 minutes less if my home router hadn't died in the middle of moving files.

Just a quick run down on the new hardware for the people that want to know

BTW--Where does my lawyer send the lawsuit I'm filing on WHT for causing me boredom

There seems to have been a problem with the database.

    Lol

My router died again while I was fixing replication So the slave server that hosts search was down for several more minutes.

Just to correct my above statement, the job should have taken about two and a half hours instead of three hours. I spent thrity minutes trying to get back online.

Well everything looks great, IOwait has dropped less than 1%, we have 6gb of free memory and the load is sitting at 0.20. I'm going to bed

MySQL replication broke shortly after the site came back online. I was paged just after 7am that replication was down. By that time it was too late to shut the site back down to fix replication.

I will be shutting the site down again tonight for a much shorter outage to bring replication back in sync.

Search still works, it just isn't being updated at this very moment.

This new server is like night and day compared to our old one

    dBforums is 15gb
    WHT is 9gb

Then there is several other databases for DeletedDomains that is 40ish, etc. We have around 70gb total of MySQL stored data on that server.
