Have you put up your christmas tree yet?

The title says it all! And no, I have not put mine up quite yet

Not yet, I have a feeling with the changes this year that our fake one will get a year off and my brother will go chop up a real one.

I agree Steve. I work for a cable co and about half the homes I went into last week had trees up. Some houses had two - one up and one down.

Pfft, shouldn't be up until 2 weeks before Christmas.

By the way, they're not "Christmas trees" they're "festive trees". Don't want to offend anyone do we? lol

Our tree goes up on my Birthday (Dec 8th) which is two weeks before Christmas, I think anything earlier is a little too keen

The Grinch is letting us say Christmas again.

Really its funny, I don't believe in god per say(well not that I dont believe, but I dont believe in the bible, or organized religion), and I don't get offended by people saying happy Christmas or Happy Hanukkah. Some people out there are just too sensitive.

Nope, not up yet. I usually put one up four or five days before Christmas; I don't really see a need to put one up before then.

Well I'd have to go up quite a bit farther north. Saskatoon is fairly northern but not northern enough for good enough trees.

When I was married it was like a competition to my wife for the xmas tree. We had two. one regular one in the den, but our formal living room had a bay window pointing to the street. We lived in a neighborhood where the street speed limit was 15mph so it was slow. All the people tried to out 'cool' themselves with the snazzy tree in the room facing the street.

It was UNBELIEVABLE what pains she went through. the pictures on the wall behind the tree had to be the same color as her decorations. Now she didn't pic decorations for the color of the pics on the wall, it was the opposite. so every year she'd buy new pics because she changed the colors every year.

then of course me, who couldn't care less about that tree, got penalized in my fun too. I liked putting the lights up and the stuff in the yard. But i was FORCED to use matching colors for her tree.

So, add all that up. a new tree was 100.00 for the one she wanted. Brand new decorations every year (the hand me downs went to the tree in the den). Brand new pictures on the wall every year, and brand new lights on the house every year.

I like to remember that time when I question if my divorcing her was a smart move.
