    Hi,

I can connect with SSH, it get disconnected after some time, ping will also stop working at this time.

    ps aux shows a process

    sh /etc/rc autoboot
    also fsck is running

    From the /var/log/messages, it says

Thanks to LayeredTech, they are able to fix the server.

The server was core dumping, complaining of bad directory in /var.
I booted the server into single user and ran a manual fsck. It fixed ran for a while fixing a lot of errors.
    Now everything work fine.

Anyone know why this happened ? The HD have any problem ?

I run smartctl, but it do not report any errors. How do i make sure the Hard disk is healthy ?

    Thanks,

    Yujin
