Do you have a mysql user named "backup" in your Cpanel or Plesk box?
I found there is a user in my Cpanel box. In Cpanel's phpmydmin Privileges page, I can see this:
User: backup Host: % Password: Yes Global privileges: USAGE Grant: Yes
I tried to DROP this user from mysql with root, but received the following error message:
ERROR 1268 (HY000): Can't drop one or more of the requested users
I also checked my another Plesk box. There is a backup user too, with % and USAGE. I deleted it from mysql.user table.
If you are using CPanel or Plesk, could you please take a look of yours? Or is there a way to check what has this user done with my server?
You try to drop users while you dont even know why they are created? Thats a quick way for a re-install
These users are probably just used for the automatic backup progress that can be run from Plesk...
So should I just stop here or delete the user?
