Think we've got enough ads here, WHT?
I count 15 total with two for rackspace.
Almost forgot that one on the right.
So, we making enough revenue now?0

How funny - I just blocked ALL images from webhostingtalk/inet/the ads on the side/top and I still get about 4 or 5 large ads, including the flash ones I can't block.
Page looks like a disaster area0

redirect the hostnames to 127.0.0.1 in your hosts file.

Let me just say: http://greasemonkey.mozdev.org
Code:var my_tds=document.getElementsByTagName('TD'); for (var i=0;i<my_tds.length;i++){ if (my_tds[i].getAttribute('width') =='200'){ my_tds[i].style.display='none'; break; } }

Advetisers here are chasing the newcomer who turned up at WHT via a "web hosting" click on Google. They're not going to be converting the masses of regulars overnight. iNet have got the bigger picture well and truly down pat.

Hey, the number of advertisements on WHT is in correlation with the saturation of the Shared Hosting market.

i dont think it is too bad, there are many other big forums a lot worse than this, plus when there is a change, members tend to complain (such as: inet toolbar, or previous design updates)

Hi,
Well, I personally don't have a problem with this when browsing on my Desktop with a 19 inch monitor but when working with my 12.1-inch widescreen Dell Laptop, this really limits my ability to browse through WHT the way I'm used to :\ Hopefully we can come up with an alternative solution here. (Both are on 1280x resolution by the way)

Sure am glad for greasemonkey, if it were not for it I would not be on WHT now, because it is just too annoying.
AdBlock was working to block the stupid skyscraper, but the box is just so huge.0

It does not affect me much, I am using a bigger resolution and I have ads blocked. Although I think iNet should remove the banners for premium members.

Did Hurricane Katrina pass over WHT just now?
I don't mind an extra ad - say, in the middle of the page with a horizontal banner.. but this version creates so much dead space to the right.. eesh..0

It also reaks havoc with accesibility software I have on my computer. There should be an option to turn it off.
