    hardening /tmp and after reboot....

I was trying to harden /tmp..

since /tmp does not have seperate partition, I have created

    dd if=/dev/zero of=/usr/tmpDSK bs=1024 count=512000

and I have edited /etc/fstab to mount /usr/tmpDSK as /tmp with

    /usr/tmpDSK /tmp ext3 loop,noexec,nosuid,rw 1 0

    and rebooted it...

and when it reboot, I have check mount

and I don't see any /usr/tmpDSK is mounted...

is this normal? or it is not mounted?

    please advise me..

    Did you run

    /sbin/mkfs -t ext3 /usr/tmpDSK
