    Two questions

    First -

    Has anyone using CentOS been able to get this update using yum?

    I've tried all day and I can't get it to come up.

    ># yum update php

    update 100% |=========================| 951 B 00:00

    extras 100% |=========================| 1.1 kB 00:00

    Could not find update match for php
    No Packages marked for Update/Obsoletion

    I am able to install packages and update other stuff, but I can't find this update; why? is it not issued here? its a pretty important one so I've been waiting for it...

    One other question if i may, if I do:

    tar -c --recursion -p --file=backup.tar myfoldername

    to backup my whole site ( a lot of files ) is that going to cause a high load, or how does that work? also is it safe to do that with mysql files, or is it better to use mysqldump?

    thanks for your time.

    May just be some issues with the repository. Try again later on, or try and find a diffrent repository.

    well i just read that it can take up to 72 hours for centos to put it in their mirror, so maybe i jumped the gun.

    but it's usually there within 24 hours, which is why I panicked and I thought something was wrong with my yum :p

    ok, I'll just wait it out before bumping this again, thanks for your reply.
