    Question Globalcon.Net?

How are they, how is their uptime/network/speed?

    Thanks.

There have been several recent reviews. Search for them?

For me.. uptime on the value network has been good. Value network is cogent, but sometime in the summer for a few hours, ping was about 160ms.. when it should've been 20ms, but that was cogent's fault. speed is excellent.

reboots are quick.. i recommend them.

Uptime is excellent. In Dallas, Globalcon offers 2 diferent networks (Cogent or Internap) and in all other locations only Internap. Download speeds have always exceeded those that I had at other companies in the past, including The Planet (which is the company I initially left in lieu of Globalcon). I've been with Globalcon in numerous locations on Internap since June 2005 with uptime exceeding 99.99%.

Could be a glitch but I'm not seeing them up right now.

Likely related to the Cogent outage in Colo4Dallas.

The actual Globalcon site is on the internap network.

I believe I jinxed Globalcon with my post because a few hours afterwards a PDU in Colo4Dallas had some problems and took out quite a bit of the facility for about 35 minutes. It was a good run, I don't recall an outage in Dallas since a major DDOS in February for about 10 minutes.

To me, Cogent had a router down in Dallas in June, and it caused at the most 200ms pings for about an hour.. but otherwise their cogent network has been awesome.
