Am I mistaken or you will need roughly 10 different machines or have f.e 10 reseller accounts with different hosting companies ?

One IP in every class-c ip is enough.
I know that many servicer offer 1~2US$/MONTH FOR ONE IP.
But who can offer 10 class-c ip?

    hi
no one will offer this thing, i was also searching for a similar thing, but shared hosting is cheap and best thing. will cost you around $ 100 per month
and almost 750 GB bandwith for total, unlimited domains and for $ 2 extra, you can get a dedicated ip from them as well.

however, we have managed to get something similar from hostgator, they are not dedicated accounts, but are shared hosting accounts

    regards

Are you asking for 10 class Cs (2550 IPs), or 10 IPs, each IP from a different class C? (1.2.3.4, 12.3.6.1, 4.28.4.12, etc etc) ?

The former you're not going to get. The latter - any large host should be able to offer this to you, but because you're breaking subnets they may charge a premium for the IPs.

As long as your not inter-linking your network of sites to the extreme, you do not need this for "SEO" purposes.

Dont bother, the whole SEO and different C class ip addresses is a myth.

your better concentrating on other factors that are important to you and working your budget around that.

    Different IPs a myth?

I think two different posters say the concern to have different IP addresses is a myth.

Can I ask for some reference on that?

It would make complete sense for a search engine to discount multiple sites from the same IP address.

I believe it does make a difference until someone can give me a reason to believe it doesn't.

(And I would also like to get 10 different IP addresses from one reseller account provider.)

Nice catch. I had almost not noticed until you pointed it out. I wonder if the OP ever found what he was seeking.

I did do a search for a more updated discussion, but this is still an important topic to many people who do SEO work.

If you can provide valid justification, and willing to pay for the IP assignments, most "flexible" dedicated hosts should be able to arrange this for you...

Back in 2003 Craig Silverstein (Google’s Director of Technology) dispelled this myth publicly. Google (and the other major search engines) have all said a number of times since then that IP address does not (or no longer) impact the search rating results.

There is absolutely no benefit to this with search engines. It's an internet myth propagated by "SEO Experts" who have no ideal about how search engines work.

    msherman,

Thank you for the reference. I've worried about this for about two years and even moved a bunch of sites to avoid the question.

Lots of opinion on both sides.

Your link is by far the best answer I've seen.
