Exclamation

Does anyone know anything about this register(RegisterClub.com). They say they will register your domain for $10, and it will be registered for one year.

My questions are:
After that 1 year can your domain be renewed? And if so will it be more than $10 the next year(s)?

And if they do charge you more an you choose not to pay but move else where, does that domain become there property?

An finally do you have to be hosted by them when you buy the domain you want? I want to trasnfer to a host that has a good deal working with transferred domains...

If any of you could anser these it would help out alot. I sent these questions to there tech support this morning around 11 and still have not got a response.

Wink 6 domains

I already buy 5-6 domain name and I don't have any problem with them, but maybe right we can't change the DNS setting, we must email them using the control panel, but I can live with that.

And as long as I know, there's many host out there can give you free service for setting up the DNS configuration.

Oh yeah, RegisterClub is the domain name service from NoMonthlyFees company and NoMonthlyFees company have a good reputations in their service, their have machine on Alabanza

If you pay the domain service for 1 year then in the next year your domain doesn't belongs anyone until someone register it that name

And one of the host company can give you for free modify the DNS configuration is Cedant ( http://www.cedant.com/ )
I have account with them it's about 6 month

I haven't heard of them, but there's no reason they can't go that low... A lot of wholesalers and resellers get domains for $7-8 so it's just a matter of what the markup they put on it is... I usually try to stick around $12-15 myself when I'm looking for a registrar. Cheap enough, but they're making enough to stay in business for a while

Hello
The economics of the domain sales business are a bit complicated.
To give you an idea, we buy domains at $10 and sell them at $13. $3 is not a lot of profit and on the surface it might not seem worthwhile, but:

It *is* 30% and in retail terms thats about average.
We pay very low cc commission.
About half of customers register for more than one year.
About a quarter order DNS services which adds a little more profit.
And about 20% end up coming back for web hosting.

You would have to sell a lot of $13 domains to make a living, which is why a lot of registrars go under, but if its part of a larger range of services its quite sustainable and a good marketing tool.

To renew domains with registerclub, you need to buy a credit, which costs $20.

Their marketing scheme is like that of their parent, nomonthlyfees.com: Suck you in with a too-good-to-be-true price, then hit you with the details later.
