If your website is using an external DNS, I am guessing all you need to do is create IIS with either a dedicated IP that matches the domaine, or makeup the hostheader to match.

If there is anyquestion of DNS, just give the website a dedicated IP and attempt to browse it.

The default period for DNS propagation is 24-48 hours, So I believe you need to wait. You can very well check it out in http://www.dnsreport.com/ and in http://dnsstuff.com/.

If you wish to test to see if IIS will respond properly to your domain name you can create a host file entry on your local machine to point to the IP of the server.

Open this with notepad. and use the example for localhost.

    c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
