Is there a simple solution other then what comes with XP?
Problem is that alot of people I help are not local and I can't just drop by their house to forward their firewall ports and such.
I've had some luck using MSN remote assist but it only works half the time due to firewall issues.
I know there are internet services where you can pay for this. Basically all you have to do is ask the people you want to remote assist, to download a file which they run. That in turn allows the person to assist them without any issues, be able to bypass firewall and such.
Someone told me he used something called assist pro but I couldn't find much info on it. Its a french software or so he says.
Anyone got something similar which I wouldn't have to pay? I'm just helping people out and since its not a business there's no point in me paying for a service like that.
Well, I use a tool named WizeTrade to do some stock investing. I needed some serious support yesterday and they had me put a log in and password into a page and they took over my computer, like what you want to do.
They are using WebEx to get this done. Maybe that helps.
