I have a tiny mysql database i backed up from cPanel on one domain and want to import or upload it to a different domain, the new one doesnt use cPanel they use thier own control panel setup, it does have phpmyadmin and mysql access. Its only about 60K database. I cant seem to get it to import, in fact it wont let me manually add tables, etc...
anyone wanna give me a hand I can pay a few bucks for the help.
You should be able to do this easily through phpmyadmin if your db is in .sql or .txt format. Just make the database first then add the tables from the sql dump.
I ahve been having issues from every angle, your right this should be very simple. but i havent been able to do much of anything, I think the sql servers are messed up on the hosting, but thier helpdesk is worthless, so im kinda looking for a second opinion/second try from someone else to make sure im not crazy.
Save your money and move on to another host. Your host should have a FAQ, Flash Demo's & a Functional Helpdesk as well as a working SQL Server.
On another note, Maybe you have a corrupt database dump?
Good luck with this
