US Based VPS with fast speeds from Australia
Hi, I'm new around here
I am searching for a US based Managed VPS provider with the low latency from Australia. I'm assuming a west coast host would be a must for this.
Being in a different time zone, having decent support late at night US time is pretty important.
Any opinions from Australians or Americans is much appreciated.

Hi a fellow Aussie here,
I have a VPS with VPSLink.com who is part of Spry, and they are in Seattle. Less than 200ms from Sydney from my home ADSL2+ link.
However, how much latency is a bit different from how much bandwidth you can push through the pipe. While 200ms is considered "fast-enough" across Pacific, personally I found it's hard to sustain any big downloads/uploads from my VPS. I don't think I can even do 50kbytes/s each way.
It might be just the ISP (I'm with Optus so going through Singtel). I can easily satuate upload bandwidth (around 100kbytes/s) push data to my account in DreamHost (Optus->Singtel->Gblx), but can't do it from ISP (Netspace->Verizon->Level3)

Look at rackforce.com. It's a good VPS in US.

There is A LOT of VPS providers in west coast, it should be easy to find. What is your motivations to go in USA? Do you think Australia is too expensive? I would agree that the bandwidth there is quite pricy...

I can tell that Singapore is about 150ms from Sydney (datacenter to datacenter).
