Hello everyone, i had my hosting with xigna cube, i knew the guy and what he offered me was great, also i had no downtime etc, but a ew weeks ago the company xigna cube suddenly changed to my simple host which just seems to be a unfinished website at the moment.
Anyway because there was no payment system or anything then i had to send my payments manually each month...but as i was busy with college etc i had totally forgo about it, and after a while my account became suspended. So i paid him what i owed but still he hasnt unsuspended my account, i have tried lots of ways of contacting him phone, text, msn, email his blog but im getting no response.
I really need all of my files as i have around 20 sites on there and some arent mine, some are web design clients that i have built sites for. Does anyone have any ideas on what i can do?
Is there a way to get my files even though my account is suspended?
I have backups of my sites...its the other sites which i dont have a backup of, also all my files are there my account is just suspended. Ive emailed him again just so hopfully i will get a response soon.
y081302x how long since you paid? maybe he's on hols or worse had an accident. is there no one else you can call? Use the phone, don't rely on emails.
How frustrating! Their website has no working links :/ Is it a UK company (as the domain is .co.uk)? If so report them to Trading Standards as it might be that you've paid him but they are the ones that need paying and they haven't got the money from him yet. Do you have a reciept to prove it to MySimpleHost if needed?
It's a Savage Universe out there!

As mentioned above, all you can do is wait f you have no backup's of your clients sites. Usually my design team keeps secondary copies on their computers, or uploads them to my external FTP storage server, as well as keep them on disk there, and disk's here as well. Your data is only as good as your backup's. Keep trying to call them, also inform your customers that there has been an issue with the host, and it's out of your hands, and that you are working diligently to resolve the issue. Hopefully they understand. Howevere lesson be learned on your end, backup your data always, because simply you just never really know what could happen.
If you ever read any of my replies to your emails you would have picked up that once upon a time I informed you we would be changing name/servers. You were fine etc. When we moved you never updated your nameservers, thus your accounts on the old server were suspended your account was created on the new server but your never changed your nameservers to point to the new server thus your site showed up as suspended.
To get this sorted please try replying to my emails.
Apologies to anyone who's wasted their time reading this.
