What Firefox Addon do you use ?
Hi,
As the topic says : What Firefox Addon do you use ?
I use :
- FireFTP : a FTP client that is so simple and so nice! The best IMHO...
- Live HTTP Headers : a header sniffer.
- IE Tab : to see IE page in FF.
- TabMix Plus : new options for your tabs.
- User Agent Switcher : enables you to *switch* browser without really doing it.
And you ????

I use FF 2.0 and all the addons that were not available were modified to be supported by version 2.0.
It may not be the best way to do thing but most of them work really well and you just have to edit the "max version" to use it correctly. This *hack* was sent to me by Googled.

Mine are. Firefox 1.5
Tab Mix Plus
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1122/
All-in-One Sidebar
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1027/
Colorful Tabs
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1368/
ColorZilla
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/271/
Bookmark Duplicate Detector
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1553/
Domain Details
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2166/
Gmail Manager
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1320/
IE Tab
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1419/
Mouse Gestures
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/39/
View Source Chart
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/655/
I updated to 2.0 but did not like it because some of the Add Ons I use were not updated yet mainly the Tab Mix Plus. When I went back to 1.5 I lost one function that I can not find. I use to have a button I could drag on the tool bar from the customize box that would do a page Jump to the top or bottom by either right clicking on it to go down and vise versa for up.. It comes in handy so you don't have to scroll the whole length of a page to get to the bottom.
If anyone knows where I can find such a add on please let me know because I miss it vey much..

Nice work RaceJunkie!
Domain details looks good.... but I'm already using v3Whois that is 'nice and simple' in my searchbox!
I forgot to say that, obviously, I was using the google bar.... probably like everybody else!!!
For you question on Tab Mix Plus, I've included a file to my post that you can use. Because of its size, I had to rename it. Change the extension to .xpi and drag'n'drop it into the "extensions" window.
For you other question, I neved used that so I can't help you!

Currently I am using with FireFox 2.0:
Auto Copy https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/383/
Auto copies any text you highlight in the browser.
Tab Mix Plus 2.0 Beta https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1122/
Well, you guys seem to know about this one :c). The best!
Add Bookmark Here https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/11/
Helps with adding bookmarks. Much easier imho.
PDF Download https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/636/
Gives you a few options when downloading pdfs.
Well thats about it besides some ones associated with paid programs I have. Overall I try to keep my add-ons down a bit, I tend to go crazy and than not use half of them. But some of the ones posted above look great, going to try them out! This one looks really interesting --> Mouse Gestures and going to for sure install Domain Details. I did have spell check installed, but now 2.0 has it built in and I am loving it!
As for waiting on Tab Mix Plus for 2.0, you can try the beta. I upgraded like a dummy on the day 2.0 was out and forgot about my add-ons. I cannot live without this add-on, I located the beta they had on their forums and also now linked from within their official add-on page (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1122/). I can't say I've had an issue at all with this beta and am happy to be upgraded also as the 2.0 is running great and looks good too, with its new skin.
Can't wait to see what other useful add-ons you guys are using as it will save me some time from searching around.

Question for FireFox 2.0 users with 5 or more extensions installed, is your browser noticeably slower and/or hog a lot of RAM?
Currently I'm using Opera v9.02 and love it with one exception, it's rendering engine sucks compared to FireFox. I'll probably revert back to FireFox assuming it's no longer a RAM hog and is more stable than before. What's your budget?
Seriously, what's your budget?

(I may have too many tabs open too ~15)
Long live to the Fox even if he's bigger and slower than ever before, still my favorite !

Adblock - blocks nearly every ad.
Adblock Filterset.G Updater - auto updates adblock with new filter lists.
Flashblock - overlays flash animations with a play button (helps block annoying stuff).
FlashGot - used with free download manager.
Yes, Firefox 2.0 opens noticeably slower and uses more memory with addons installed compared to none at all.
