I'm looking for a script to track clicks and sales conversion from an advertising campaign, any recommendations?

phpadsnew is a great script for this. Doh! Didn't read the whole post. Actually I use idevaffiliate to track conversions from my ad campaigns, I setup each campaign as an affiliate and track it that way.

if you use modernbill, it will track conversions, I think lpanel does also.
