    windows server basic question

    I am new to windows server. Can we run shared IP on windows servers? Where is apache file and DNS zone file located in windows server?

    Windows use IIS and Microsoft DNS, both are setup easily by wizards. You can use shared IP , no problem with that. IIS is Windows native server, you can uninstall and put in apache, but in this case, why not just use a linux

    Yes you can use Shared IP address for Multiple domains on window box... With that You should assign host header for each domains incase of using ShareIP.

    For dns, if you use windows's dns server you will find the dns zone setting by
    typing dnsmgmt.msc in Start->Run if you have Remote Desc or in system32\dns

    If you are specifically looking for dns zone file it will be in C:\WINDOWS\system32\dns
