Say I'm selling a product like "apples" on my website (lets say bestapples.com and I want to make a subdomain where the shopping cart is and it is SSL secured. Is it in your favor for Google search and Adwords and search relevancy for other engines, to set your subdomain as apple.bestapples.com or would it hurt you to set it as secure.bestapples.com?
I don't understand quite what your getting at or trying to convey in regards to the "intensity". Perhaps you could clarify or someone else could shed some light on this matter.
For example, if you were a tool shop and one of the products you were prized for were well crafted and strong, durable hammers, I feel like you would get better search placement if you opened a subdomain called "hammers" hammers.tools.com rather than secure.tools.com.
Domain name url does not play much role in getting seo success.
Are you sure that's true? I lived in Adelaide for most of my life b4 moving north to Northern NSW. That's irrelevant and off topic, but I understand that the domain/sub-domain name is important to SEO. If that's not true (and I bow to an expert), I'd like to know WHY it isn't relevant.
So, is it o.k. to have a site that's about apples with a domain name www.pears.com ? It's a really interesting topic for me, as I have many clients tht I choose a domain name for very carefully.. Look forward to your reply.
