    Cheapest Country for Bandwidth??

    Hi,

I've always wanted to know which were the countries that provided bandwidth for the lesser cost.

France is one of them I think. Maybe Israel?.. Netherlands??

High latency greatly increases the complexity of achieving peak TCP performance. Unless you're prepared to make a lot of kernel tweaks, the farther away your server is the lower the transfer rate will be for each individual TCP session.

what makes me think this way is because I'm in Africa and so are most of my visitors.

Host being in USA or Europe is about the same to me usually (although france has a better ping overall)

France has super cheap prices due to their open peering policies.

I got a server in france that only costs me 19EUR/mo w/ 10Mbit dedicated.

they're owned by OVH, so it's with a pretty good company.

Speeds are really nice, they let you burst up to 35Mbit outbound, so long as you don't burn more than 3TB a month doing that. Once you burn that up, they cap you down to 10Mbit until you calm down

They seem to also provide free windows 2003 web as well.
