[Suggestion] Warning message when posting into an old thread
I was over at sitepoint, just about to reply to a post, when I got this -
Warning! You are replying to a thread which is more than 2 months old. Please consider creating a new thread instead.
Maybe this is something that WHT could implement?• WLVPN.com • NetProtect owned White Label VPN provider •

Just shows people don't search if there are 400 threads about it
Either of these would be good

It's set to 90 days right now. We'll see how that works out and tweak as/if needed.

I saw a VBB site 1 time where you couldnt reply to a thread older then X amount of days at all (It was restricted to the staff) (I told Jan about it )
Seems kinda pointless...... If ya see a topic you like from 2002 why start a new thread when thees one already started??
I dunno.....
Tinyurl is the answer for posting long urls!!!

Personally, I'd say close the thread if it's 90 days, warn if it's 30, but that's just me opinion

The warning doesn't appear to be deterring them I have unbumped at least six threads since this feature was added and I have no doubt others have also.
