Question Your opinion about a server

I need your advice concerning a server with the following specs:

    Dual Core Pentium D 950
    2 Total 3.4 GHz Cores
800 MHz Front Side Bus (FSB)
4 MB (2 MB Per Core) L2 Cache
    2 GB 533 MHz DDR2 RAM
    2x250 GB SATA HD
Fully managed service with 24/7 support by phone and email

    $229 Monthly
    $249 Setup
    1600 GB Monthly Transfer
    100 Mbps Uplink Port
    4 IP Addresses

I'm wondering if the server is suitable for a just starting web hosting comapny? How much 'normal' customer I can expect hosting on it?

And what do you think of the price?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

The setup fee is a bit high but you can have about 300 clients on it.

Although it is a nice server, don’t you think it’s a bit big? You might want to get something a little smaller, and then work your way up once you get more customers.
Then again, it’s up to you – good luck!

where do you come up with the 300 client number? That can vary so widely based upon a number of factors. It's like saying how much water can you fit in a pool without knowing anything about the size or depth

That system is definately a good start, the pentium D's run good and overall it will be a very healthy system
