    /etc/ssh/ssh_config Lock out

    1. Updated the "#Protocol 2, 1" line to "Protocol 2" in this file.
    2. Restarted SSH in WHM
    3. Got locked out entirely from SSH on both WHM and my ssh client
    4. Did a graceful reboot on WHM in an attempt to restart my ssh client that way

Now my server is entirely down.

This is the first time I've ever locked myself out of a server, and I don't know how to fix this. I contacted my hosting provider and asked if they could manually restore the ssh file. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Are you able to ping your server?

If you update the protocol, it should not affect your server uptime. What software are you using and you can't connect?

I'm pointing my domain back to my old server so that the site won't be down.
