Demo was kinda boring... you have to 'level' up to better weapons or it didnt save your guy in the demo.

It's basically a modded BF2 with a Titan mode. It's the only good thing about the game really, the weapons suck really. You've gotta unload a whole clip of 30 rounds just to kill someone. And I was using short bursts, I was hitting the guy too!

My 2.4Ghz P4, 1.8GB, 6600GT isn't good enough to play BF2142 with above 45 fps constantly on LOWEST detail.

Very resource hog of a game.

You couldn't pay me to play that game...and that is coming from someone who has bought every other BF franchise game on the day they were released and put hundreds of hours in.

Same here. I like bf2 more, plus it's somewhat already patched even though it's still buggy. I don't have time and patience to wait for another EA game to be patched up.

Yeah although the 1.4 patch stopped Commanders from dropping jeeps on runways and carriers. I used to love cartillarying folks on the carrier. Now to cartillary a jet coming off a carrier, you have to drop it at the precise time, just off the edge of the carrier. Tricky but h00t if you get it right, and a huge shock for the jet pilot.

Only if BF2 didn't lag so much for me I would play it more, maybe it's time to upgrade to PCI-Express

Where's the lag, on the network, or in your graphic card/CPU/RAM?

Yuck, i won't touch this game with a ten foot pole. They openly tell you they install spyware on your machine.

You can block the domains, but I'm not even going to get it.

When you open the box, a big slip of paper falls out first, preceeding any discs or manuals. The slip of paper says, essentially, that 2142 includes monitoring software which runs while your computer is online, and records "anonymous" information like your IP address, surfing habits (probably via cookie scans), and other "computing habits" in order to report this information back to ad companies and ad servers, which generates in-game ads.
FYI add this to your hosts file and it nulls the ads but what about spyware? Does this block that too?
