    * 640x480 - 1024x768?

    I just formatted one of my computers and installed windows xp pro. When I logged it, the screenres is 640x480. I right clicked and went to the settings tab and tried moving the slider to get a bigger res but it wouldn't move. Now I'm stuck with that SMALL screenres and I'm used to 1024x768! Any ideas on how to fix it? =\

    Yeah, I'm sure your display adapter drivers just haven't been installed yet, should be a relatively quick fix.

    Not exactly sure, I would just go to contral panel > system > hardware tab > device manager > display adapters > right click and hit update driver > don't connect to windows update > specify location and then choose the .inf file

    What is the manufacturer of your graphics card? If its the likes of ATi/nVidia/Matrox/S3/3dfx then you should be able to get a Windows installer package for installing/updating the graphics drivers.

    Usually you can download a driver package for your particular model if you don't have the CDs that came with it.

    An inf file for a graphics card? That sounds more like you grabbed the profile for a monitor, actually. Display adapter drivers are typically dll's. Might want to double check your source...
