Unable to create/excute in /tmp
Any idea why i would be unable to create and excute files in /tmp? This is an error im getting when configuring a script... i've checked and there is no "noexec" and permissions are 777
Are you using PHP? Is base directory protection enabled (not allowed to write to or execute out of document root)? Why do you need to create and execute scripts in /tmp anyway. Having /tmp mounting not noexec and with mode 777 is insecure.
this is in C that im trying to configure which i guess uses /tmp in the configure... and im logged in as root as im doing this..
I think the problem is that i have to update my sh, I receive an error /bin/sh: bad interpreter, any idea how to do this? thanks!
Make a new directory outside of /tmp such as
/home/tmp and export TMPDIR=/home/tmp

Probably /tmp is either a partition or a file mounted as a partition with the options noexec set on. You can check this in /etc/fstab
That worked! Thank YOU!
